Please read our Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy carefully. We are available to answer any of the questions and concerns you may have by email.
At Soar Above Counselling, individual appointments are 50 minutes in length, unless the client and counsellor have agreed on another duration. We value you as a client and your appointment is held exclusively for you.
If you wish to cancel our appointment or are expecting to be late to our appointment, please send an email as soon as possible. Read the policy below for more information.
If a cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours’ notice, we will consider it a late cancellation and you will be charged 30$. This payment is due on the same day of the scheduled appointment.
It is important that you arrive virtually on time to our appointments. Please understand that if you are late, your appointment cannot be extended. If you are more than 15 minutes late to our appointment, we will consider it cancelled.
If the session is not cancelled but you do not show, this is considered a missed appointment and you will be charged the full fee in this case. This payment is due on the same day of the scheduled appointment.
Another appointment will not be made until payment for missed appointments has been received. If you have booked advanced sessions, they will be cancelled if you have an outstanding balance.
I encourage you to check with your insurance provider as late cancellations and missed appointment may not be covered as part of your plan.
We can appreciate that emergencies do arise and do not always allow for a 24-hour notice. In the case of a medical emergency, we will waive the above policy and not expect payment for the missed appointment.
We commit to the policy detailed above in such cases as forgetting about the appointment, choosing to make alternate plans, double-booking oneself, etc.
My commitment to you
In keeping consistent with our own policies, we will also provide at least 24 hours’ notice if your appointment needs to be cancelled. However, we are not immune to emergencies and will do our absolute best to notify you as soon as possible should you appointment need to be cancelled unexpectantly.
We have set appointment reminders to be sent through the On-Call platform. However, please remember that technology has its flaws; it is expected for clients to keep track of their own appointments as well.
